' Doris'- vintage 1920's Sheplers/Stetson 'Open Road' size: 7
- Description
A classic vintage 'Open Road from the 1920's, 'Doris' was manufactured by Stetson (est: 1865) for Sheplers, the world's largest western wear store, (est: 1898). She had a couple of old moth holes, the perfect place to house beautiful Turquoise stones. Overall she's in great shape for her age and years of wear have resulted in a beautiful 'weathered' patina. These older Open Roads all seem to be a few shades darker than the more recent models. The original sweatband and satin lining are in good condition with some wear and water marks.
- size: 7 (labeled 7 1/8, but its shrunk over time)
- tan/brown with aged patina
- 4" crown
- Original 3/8" Grosgrain band + wax thread highlight + 2 Turquoise cabochons
